This lesser-known portrait of Marie-Antoinette, likely by one of the Brachard brothers, portrays the queen in an idealized manner rather than as a powerful sovereign. The head is turned slightly to the right, with shoulders draped in fabric for a natural look, and she wears a crown adorned with fleur-de-lis and pearls. Despite being a controversial figure in French history, many artistic representations of Marie-Antoinette were lost during the French Revolution. Fortunately, this surviving copy offers a glimpse into the past. In collaboration with The Plaster Cast Workshop of the Rmn - Grand Palais.
